About the Position: This position is located at the US ARMY 1ST SPECIALFORCES COMMAND ACOFS, G-3 FORT LIBERTY, NC.

Duties

Develops, manages and/or recommends plans in support of the Organizational Inspection Program. Establishes long and short-term priorities, goals and objectives. Serves as the Organizational Inspection Program Lead inspector and coordinator that facilitates 6 initial command inspections (ICI) and 6 follow up command (FUI) inspections annually. Serves as the Organizational Inspection Program coordinator for 1st SFC(A). Develops and manages portal based digital synchronization tool to track, coordinate and communicate the inputs and outputs of the organizational inspection program. Leads large inspection team comprised of 25 inspectors and 35 inspected areas. Communicates requirements to inspectors and CSU to provide a well-planned and coordinated inspection at each event. Negotiates all aspect of the command inspection program with USASOC and 12 subordinate commands to ensure synergy within the OIP. Manages, prepares, coordinates, distributes read ahead documents, and presents the Commanding General’s Command and Staff meetings, Commander’s Conferences, and the Chief of Staff Synchronization Meetings. Communicates using high level of written and oral proficiency. Provides briefings to senior leaders of the final results of the inspection that was conducted. Produces a consolidated Written After-Action Report of each inspection using Microsoft Word and other digital mediums.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
