This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for developing long-range plans in conjunction with those agencies to develop full spectrum capability plans for partner nation capacity building in accordance with U.S. Government priorities and policies.

Duties

As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Developing long-range plans in conjunction with those agencies to develop full spectrum capability plans for partner nation capacity building in accordance with U.S. Government priorities and policies. Coordinates security cooperation activities with key members of DoD, including OSD, the Geographic Combatant Command, and Joint Staff as well as coordinating with member of the U.S. Interagency. Assists GCCs in the development of comprehensive sets of Title 10 SC program plans involving senior-level engagements, conferences and seminars, advising, education, training, equipping, military unit engagements, exercises, exchanges. Supports the development of plans, reports, point papers, programmatic statements, briefing material for the annual congressional authorization and appropriations process for the Title 10 SC programs.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Assisting and supporting Title 10 Security Cooperation Programs; maintaining relationships with internal and external stake holders on Security Cooperation's Plans and Programs. Applying and evaluating U.S National Security and Foreign Policy priorities and objectives. Analyzing and resolving a wide variety of complex, time sensitive operational factors/issues that impact the implementation of security cooperation activities. Serving as a security cooperation planner by developing plans and policy in support of US National Security Strategy. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience
