You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the in the Office of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job opportunity announcement has a first cut-off 50 applicants. Duties

You will prepare a wide variety of substantive written products and correspondence focused on the field office (s) programs and investigative and operational reporting. You will create and maintain manuals, procedures, statistical spreadsheets/databases, graphics, and/or other tools, as appropriate, to satisfy needs. You will conduct research in databases providing result to agents and managers. You will complete data entry and all administrative case file management and retention requirements. You will be responsible for all ordering and tracking supplies and services reconciling all purchases in the appropriate financial database. You will be responsible for timekeeping ensuring accuracy of all records.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, obtaining, and performing a variety of organizational administrative services and program management such as personnel, accounting and budget, case file and record management, travel and timekeeping; AND researching, collecting, reviewing, interpreting, evaluating and integrating data from multiple sources. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, obtaining, and performing a variety of organizational administrative services and program management such as personnel, accounting and budget, case file and record management, travel and timekeeping.
