About the Position: : This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. You may need to complete a 3 year probationary period, if applicable. This position is with 7th Signal Command, located at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. .

Duties

Conduct assigned portions of studies and assist in the development of initiatives to improve management processes and systems using the most efficient utilization of human resources. Prepare, compile, publish, and ensure the validity and accuracy of data developed and uniformity in reports and studies. Conducts program evaluation, design and implementation of personnel programs and guidance. Advises, identifies, and analyzes staffing issues and problems Monitors, reviews, verifies, and coordinates personnel information and documents; and reviews for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all transactions. Manages the DoD Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP) by monitoring and maintaining suspense controls and reviewing appraisals to ensure compliance with reporting procedures and regulatory and administrative correctness Assists managers/supervisors with development and review of performance elements and standards, and in determining appropriate awards/forms of recognition in support of organizational work goals. Advises and assists employees, managers, and supervisors on grievance procedures and appropriate options for proper resolution of conflicts or problems. Interprets command policies and provides advice on other personnel issues such as reduction-in-force, hours of work, changes in working conditions, smoking in the workplace, leave administration, pay entitlements, etc.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
