About the Position: This position is in the Medical Readiness Command - West on Fort Sam Houston, Texas. A recruitment, retention or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Advanced Leave Accrual Maybe Authorized

Duties

Perform duties related to mobilization, demobilization, power projection platforms, Medical Protection (MEDPROS), and systems used to manage the end-to-end process. Interpret government and health care statutes, regulations, policies, requirement, standards that impact health care delivery systems. Manage principles and practices necessary to conduct analysis to identify efficiency and productivity of the MEDPROS program on a large military installation. Prepare and present presentations using appropriate health care and business nomenclature.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One year probation period maybe required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 above). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
