About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of administrative and office management duties to a degree, which relieves the Director, Department of Pharmacy, Assistant Chiefs, NCOICs, and Pharmacists from as many administrative details as possible.

Duties

Review completed documents for accuracy before submission to leadership. Assist with preparation of hiring packets for incoming personnel. Assist Director in conducting controlled drug audits. Maintain time and attendance data for all department of Pharmacy personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • The position to which you have been appointed is a Tier 1 Non-Sensitive position that requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation.
  • The position requires a qualified Typist; At least 40 WPM.
  • All employees assigned to a MTF are required to be screened for applicable immunizations regardless of series, based on occupational risk, and are subject to missing/required immunizations IAW AR 40-562, chapters 3 and 4.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Experience in performing a variety of clerical and administrative work such as composing routine correspondence, pharmacy office management; 2) performing publication management, personnel processing, office supply expenditures, departmental competency assessment folders; 3) maintaining time and attendance data; 4) using a variety of automated databases to develop and prepare correspondence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration field of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
