Duties

Manages overall mission of logistics in order to implement the power projection of logistics and Mobilization Force Generation (MFGI), contract management, Installation Status Report (ISR), and/or Installation Deployment Support Plan. Performs installation logistics planning for the Support Operations (SPO) by analyzing mission assignments in order to establish program objectives to develop planning. Facilitates meetings with key staff members to obtain pertinent details involving problem areas to develop recommendations to resolve various logistics issues. Ensures that established policies and procedures are uniformly applied to recommend remedial measures as necessary. Oversees a team of employees to ensure mission goals and objectives are met. Maintains operational reports, writes clearly in order to effectively communicate current and planned operations to subordinates, superiors, and personnel outside of the organization. Develop and coordinate the planning, operation and evaluation of all matters pertaining to Supply, Services, Maintenance, Transportation and miscellaneous logistical support with particular emphasis on Installation Logistics. Reviews reports of inspections from post or higher headquarters and assures that final positive action is taken on all action items and completed within the established deadlines.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • Temporary duty travel of 20 percent may be required.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
  • This is a Designated Key Position. A Key position is defined as any Army position that cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
