Duties

As a Deputy Director - Departmental Enforcement Center, you will: Direct a staff of enforcement analysts and financial analysts with specialized experience and insight to the enforcement functions of the Departmental Enforcement Center (DEC). Establish policy for Center operations within statutory and regulatory constraints. Establish procedures to ensure appropriate and periodic communication on the activities of the Center with all program areas. Ensure the development and maintenance of data systems, as necessary, to monitor Center activity, track work of contractors, and to provide reports and track the status of enforcement cases underway.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Experience supervising or leading teams that work with housing programs (i.e., Operating Subsidy, Capital Fund, Section 8 vouchers, Family Self Sufficiency, HOPE VI, homeownership, community and supportive services (CSS), nursing homes, housing development, or financing); AND Experience analyzing Regional/National policy and developing options or recommendations for new or revised policies and procedures related to assisted housing programs; AND Analyzing issues or problems, developing strategies, and presenting solutions to senior management and high-level officials. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
