You will serve as a Nuclear Operations Manager in the Operations Department, nuclear Production Manager Office, Code 300N of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will coordinate assignments among various projects assigned to the Operations Departments. You will review schedule and cost performance by recommending changes for various nuclear work projects. You will resolve problems, making commitments, planning, and managing nuclear work among various projects. You will ensure that training plans are developed and executed for qualifying Assistant Project Superintendents. You will monitor the accuracy and adequacy of production work.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: directing and overseeing nuclear production work by executing radiological policies and priorities of naval nuclear ships.
