About the Position: Serve as an operational Liaison Officer between the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID) and Interagency partners. Report to the Assistant Director, Investigation Operation Division of DACID regarding request of information from Interagency partners. Provide immediate support and assistance to DACID Interagency and Department of Defense (DoD) partners.

Duties

Work within the Interagency partners to develop broad Interagency Agreements (IAAs), IAA Appendices, and Memorandums of Understanding and United States-host nation agreements in areas Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). Provide direction and Army Commands, Army Service Component Commands, and Direct Reporting Units on law enforcement requirements. Provide policy advice to national, DoD and DA levels for the research and development of law enforcement systems. Maintain control for law enforcement design and operation of law enforcement component programs. Analyze supportive agency/installation fusion cell support and its effect on DoD, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other Federal agency readiness and overall customer satisfaction. Assess and evaluate complex and conflicting input from the interagency community and multi-discipline reporting to develop authoritative assessments, briefings, and analytic papers. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and selective consideration of complexity of assignments and capabilities of subordinates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85 , Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Require extensive temporary duty travel on very short notice, to locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), up to 30% of the year.
  • Subject to short notice recall. Must reside within normal commuting distance of the assigned duty station (50 miles). May be required to remain on duty or report to duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete counterintelligence scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • A pre-deployment physical is required, and annually required thereafter.
  • Emergency essential employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being replaced in the standby reserve or other appropriate action.
  • Emergency essential civilians are required to sign a DoD Form 2365. May be required to complete specific training and immunization requirements as appropriate for OCONUS deployments.
  • Duties may be performed under austere and potentially hazardous conditions during exercise and deployment operations. May be required to deploy into areas in which hostile action may occur.
