About the Position: Serves in the Readiness Branch within the G7 Training Directorate, Training and Mission Support Section, HQ Installation Management Command (IMCOM) located at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Duties

Broad range of qualitative and quantitative methods for developing and improving program effectiveness and complex management processes and systems. Ability to support Service wide studies and analysis teams and determine appropriate command positions for improving Army Total Force Policy and Army Campaign Plan support integration and synchronization. Use significant judgment and discretion in determining intent and revising existing policy and regulatory guidance for others to use. Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate team projects and contribute effectively to allow leadership and management to implement recommendations where proposals require extensive changes to established procedures. Exercise judgment, creativity and initiative in applying broad general guidelines to dynamic situations and exercises judgment in handling situations that are not covered by guidelines. Develop and coordinates solutions to problems that are unique and outside the scope of current guidelines.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in changing, interpreting, or developing important public policies or programs pertaining to Army Strategic Readiness, Army Total Force Policy and Army Campaign Plan support. Experience with mobilization, deployment, redeployment, and demobilization requirements; the Army Total Force Policy models; the Amy Mobilization System (AMS); and the Department of the Army Mobilization Processing System (DAMPS). Experience with the Military Decision Making Process and cost/benefit analysis. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes InformationOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????12).
