Duties
This Supervisory Health Scientist Administrator position will be the Associate Director for Interdisciplinary Research that is located in the Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH), Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI), Office of the Director (OD), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The Office of Research on Women`s Health (ORWH) Interdisciplinary Research (IDR) Section will encompass ORWH's dissemination and implementation, prevention, innovation, and global health research activities. This approach is responsive to the Perspectives on Advancing NIH Research to Inform and Improve the Health of Women report of the Advisory Committee on Research on Women's Health (ACRWH), the result of a Congressional request, and aligned with the NIH-wide Strategic Plan for Women's Health Research. Accordingly, the IDR Section will be composed of individuals with relevant scientific expertise and experience. This position leads the Interdisciplinary Research Program to advance the mission of ORWH on Women`s Health Research. The ideal candidate will have experience in women's health, sex as a biological variable (SABV), social determinants of health, menopause, reproductive health, pregnancy and maternal health, and program management and evaluation. A background that includes women's health research and implementation science is a plus.
