You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the COMMAND INSPECTOR GENERAL OFFICE of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

You will serve as a Command Evaluator/Inspector in the Command Inspector General (IG) Office at Naval Undersea Warfare Command Division, Keyport. You will evaluate programs and processes to ensure that funds, personnel, equipment, and other resources are employed effectively, securely, economically, and within legal and administrative constraints. You will evaluate key organizational issues concerning administrative functions, administrative program operation, financial analysis, business operation and resource use. You will plan and perform individual interviews and focus groups with varied audiences. You will document findings within written reports outlining findings and recommendations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For the NT-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; coordinating command inspections, audits, or inquires identifying and mitigating improprieties to ensure compliance with governing rules and regulations. For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-03 (GS-09/10) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; performing command inspections, audits, or inquires identifying and mitigating improprieties to ensure compliance with governing rules and regulations. Education

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the NT-04:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
