This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of International Trade in Charlotte, North Carolina or Raleigh, North Carolina. Provide guidance to U.S. small businesses on entering international markets through trade development and export finance programs.

Duties

Salary is determined by duty location and grade/step of the position being filled: Charlotte, NC: $124,751 - $162,178; Raleigh, NC: $127,512 - $165,768

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • You must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications

GS-14 Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service) obtained in either the Public or Private sector that includes the following: (1) Origination, underwriting and/or structuring of secured loans (e.g. commercial and industrial loans); asset-based loans (ABL); and/or structured trade finance products; AND (2) Serving as a relationship manager, loan officer, loan product portfolio manager, or program director at the assistant vice president level or higher in a financial institution, financial services company, or federal agency. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. It is available for your review on OPM's Qualifications web site: General Business and Industry Series, 1101 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 06/07/2024.
