This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing.

Duties

As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will: Oversee the most challenging and complex troubled-designated PHAs and provide mastery-level advisory assistance to staff in developing solutions to the most complex of PHA management, physical, financial, governance, and operational issues. Articulate and communicate assignments, potential program issues problems to be addressed, project milestones, and deadlines and timeframes for completion. Assist and guide staff in identifying, distributing, and balancing internal workload in accordance to established workflow and skill level; make adjustments to accomplish the workload per established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned tasks; and ensure that each staff member has an integral role in developing the final product. Provide technical assistance to the staff in team-building methods and techniques to accomplish tasks and arrange for additional training when necessary for the accomplishment of a specific individual or office-wide task

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Analyzing and evaluating issues related to office operations, policies and procedures; AND -Contributing to the development of policies; AND -Developing reports for management officials that outline findings and solutions or recommendations for improvements; AND -Leading/coordinating projects or teams AND/OR building relationships in designated communities with organizations, federal, state, or local agencies (e.g., government and advocacy groups). Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
