YOU WILL SERVE AS A TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST IN THE SHI AND AIR INTEGRATED WARFARE DIVISION, COMBAT ENGINEERING AND INTEGRATION BRANCH OF NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD (NAWCAD WOLF).

Duties

You will represent the Branch and NAWCAD WOLF on working groups and panels convened to discuss technology issues and establish plans and standards for information processing and communications functions. You will analyze telecommunications infrastructure reliability and utilization using current techniques and tools to identify and define problem areas, and to maintain voice, video, and data telecommunications performance levels. You will review telecommunications plans to ensure compliance with standards, codes and AHJ requirements. You will detail design, specifications and drawings including Structured cabling systems and pathways, Rack positioning and layout drawings, Grounding and bonding systems, and Telecommunications spaces. You will create project documents, including but not limited to: Design drawings, Project specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), Bid documents and pricing, and Record drawings (as-builts). You will support and assess the installation process.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code IT Project Manage, proficiency level II the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience serving as an expert in the field of communications/electronic systems development, testing, and integration; 2) Demonstrated experience with test and integration plans and policies designed to ensure validity, adequacy, and maximum efficiency and credibility in the specification, design and development of systems, subsystems, and related items; 3) Advise on technical matters that have a direct bearing on whether or not a proposed system or subsystem should be developed or produced; 4) Develop technical reports and recommendations regarding expenditures or commitment of funds.
