You will serve as an Administrative Officer in the Supply Division of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties

You will enter and maintain Division Requirement Documents, prepare personnel actions, and take appropriate action as needed. You will make suggestions to management concerning improvements in the areas of security, safety and/or space allocations. You will assist travelers with preparation of travel documents (authorizations and vouchers) in an automated travel system. You will interpret and apply policies and procedures pertaining to budgeting and accounting for funds, or personnel administration. You will assist the Administrative Officer with duties involving the over-all operation of the Administrative Office of the Division.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NO-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience shows the ability to 1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) plan and organize work and; 3) communicate effectively orally and in writing. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
