As an Impact Data Analyst in ODP, you will supporting the identification, collection and analysis of developmental project and portfolio data to analyze the development impact of DFC's investments. The Impact Data Analyst is also responsible for supporting efforts to translate requirements into technical requirements to improve ODP and DFC's enterprise information and data management systems. Selection will be made at the GS-9, FPL 12.

Duties

The impact data analyst performs the following duties to ensure accurate data and analyses are conducted that enable leadership to meet reporting requirements, foster data-driven decision making and effectively tell the story of DFC's development to our internal and external stakeholders: - Analyzes impact data for inconsistencies and data gaps; engages in cleaning, managing, and querying datasets; and recommends corrective measures to improve data governance where necessary. - Integrates impact data from different sources (e.g., development outcomes surveys from clients and reports from social and environmental compliance monitoring visits) in order to assess developmental performance of investments in a comprehensive way. - Conducts investment project analyses with the ability to draw conclusions about the data, prepare data analyses, assess development outcomes and generate presentations that convey the impact of DFC-supported projects. - Produces high quality - timely, accurate and rigorous - quantitative and qualitative data analysis and data visualizations. Utilizes business analytics tools, to create reports and analyses, graphs, pivot tables, and narratives. Uses infographics, data visualization and other visual means for storytelling and data reporting, etc. - Supports activities meant to improve accessibility and user-friendliness of DFC data. - Works closely with stakeholders from other departments to ensure accurate reporting of development impacts and project portfolio data.   • Must be a recent college graduate who received a baccalaureate or graduate degree from an institution of higher education, not later than two years after the date on which the individual received their degree.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than 120 days after the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Qualifications: GS-09: A. Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: - Analyze projects' development impact with the ability to synthesize and communicate findings to relevant staff - Analyze impact data for inconsistencies and data gaps; run database queries; and recommend measures to improve data quality where feasible. OR B. Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related, from an accredited college or university that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Note: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted to support your claim. OR C. Have a combination of graduate education and specialized experience as described in "A" and "B" above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This position has a basic education requirement listed under the Qualifications section of this announcement. Education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited college, or university.
