The Office of General Counsel performs a broad spectrum of advisory and legal functions concerning matters affecting the administration of the District of Columbia Courts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: An associate degree in paralegal studies or related field, plus three (3) years of administrative, clerical or paralegal experience in a court or law agency. Experience using eDiscovery, eLitigation, and case management software such as Relativity. Experience using Microsoft Word, virtual meeting and scheduling platforms, and document sharing.  Knowledge of the DC Court's jurisdiction and administration is preferred.   Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field, plus one (1) year of administrative, clerical, or paralegal experience in a court or law agency. A master's degree in paralegal studies or related field. The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency. Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts is required.  If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.
