About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Joint Activities, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Directs full motion video (FMV) Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) operations in support of real-time Intelligence. Make effective, time-sensitive decisions for tactical employment of the Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) mission crew and platform sensors. Prepares and authorizes the release of imagery and full motion video intelligence products. Coordinate with all members of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) architecture to ensure seamless transition of PED support at all times

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Requires extensive temporary duty (TDY) travel on very short notice, to locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS), up to 30% of the time.
  • Subject to short notice recall. Must reside within normal commuting distance of the assigned duty station (50 miles).
  • May be required to work uncommon hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekend, and/or holidays.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing GEOINT and full motion video (FMV) information to support intelligence operations; coordinating with all members of the organization ensuring seamless transition of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) support; AND briefing intelligence assessments and positions to staff principals and senior leadership within the national-intelligence community. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
