You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (NUCLEAR) in the Test Engineering Division - Code 2340, Nuclear Engineering & Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will influence, motivate, or persuade individuals in a position to advance the nuclear engineering testing interests, goals, and objectives. You will plan and carrying out work, resolve conflicts, integrate and coordinate the work of others as necessary and interpret policy. You will oversee and execute highly technical nuclear qualification programs. You will give briefings and participate in meetings to higher level managers regarding nuclear test training and administrative programs. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of assigned nuclear programs and projects. You will resolve complaints from branch employees and refers group grievances and the more serious complaints which cannot be resolved, to higher level supervisors. You will apply expert knowledge of a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees and make provision for such development and training.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and administering nuclear test training programs by analyzing effectiveness of programs or projects to ensure safe and efficient workplace operations.
