You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) in the Computer Information Office (CIO) of Information Systems Division NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions. You will evaluate the feasibility of proposed new and/or re-engineered systems analysis development projects. You will consult with customer to identify and specifies requirements and develop overall functional and systems requirement and specifications. You will document and solve design and development problems encountered during testing and/or implementation. You will address system inconsistencies, system redundancies, priorities, conflicts, maximize the sharing of information, and prepare business cases for the application of IT solutions. You will technically review completed work projects and provide technical assistance and guidance as required.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 2210 level 2 within 6 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Applying analytical techniques to plan, design, and implement new or improved information systems to meet business requirements for an organization; 2) Advising others on the merits of proposed or re-engineered system development projects; 3) Serving as a technical specialist for application development, implementation, and maintenance of IT system services/activities; and 4) Gathering, assembling, and analyzing data to translate information and develop IT solutions.
