About the Position: This is an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation) GS-0303-06/07 position with the USACE Little Rock District. This position is with the Operations Division, Greers Ferry Project Office, and will be in Heber Springs, AR. This Position may be filled at either Grade-06/FPL 07; or, at Full Performance Grade Level GS-07. Promotion to the Full Performance Level will be at Manager's discretion.

Duties

Serve as primary point of contact for the office regarding matters related to the administrative functions of the Resident Office. Formulate and maintain the office budget. Attend staff meetings and actively participates in planning and review process, developing solutions to problems. Serve as the point of contact regarding personnel administration matters. Provide expertise for procurement of goods, supplies and services. Maintain contracts for all routine services and small improvements and betterments. Compose correspondence and finalize drafts of reports, correspondence and other data assuring proper format, spelling, grammar and arrangement of material. Establish accounts for the USACE automated financial management system and request and monitor funding for all financial activities for the organization.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. FOR GS-7: One year of specialized experience which includes performing 2 out of the 3 following duties: 1) tracking expenditures for an office budget using an automated financial management system; AND/OR 2) consolidating or preparing data for reports; AND/OR 3) performing administrative support duties for an office, such as property record maintenance, training coordination, and tracking personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
