You will serve as a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR I in the Repair Department (TRF-300), Hull Division (TRF-310), IPE & TOOL MAINTENANCE SHOP (Code 316/ 06B) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will serve as Maintenace Supervisor for teh management/technical direction of Shop operations. You will explain work requirements, methods and procedures as needed. You will assure that material and equipment is available so as not to delay work. You will provide adminstrative supervision/management over shop operations. You will plan work short/long term for subordinates in accorance with program directives and requirements.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to lead or supervise: Ability to lead a team of trade journeymen in the performance of complex industrial plant equipment and tools. Ability to provide help to mechanics or work leaders in accomplishing difficult tasks and processes dealing with industrial equipment. Ability to maintain close observation and control of all work operations and experience troubleshooting new equipment.
