About the Position:This Telecommunications Specialist (COMSEC) is located at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, Network Enterprise Center Directorate with duty location of Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. (merit)

Duties

Manage the Communications Security (COMSEC) Program within the Command. Conduct inspections of security procedures for Communications Security. Serve as the Key Management Infrastructure Account Manager and as such manages Communications Security for Yuma Proving Ground regarding the accountability of the United States Army Test and Evaluation Command. Respond to questions involving areas such as the control, planning, coordination, interpretation, and evaluation of Communications Security equipment.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • 5% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is a requirement.
  • This is a Defense Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) position as outlined in DoDD 8140.01 - Cyberspace Workforce Management, Encl 2, Par 9(c)(d).

Candidate must possess: 1) Both a) the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Management Client (MGC) Course certificate from a DoD training institution and b) the TRADOC issued COMSEC Custodian or Account Manager's Course certificate or; 2) the combined TRADOC issued KMI & MGC Course certificate.
