About the Position: Perform staff supervision, communications planning, message synchronization, content development and posting in the Digital Media Division in the Army's Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA). Position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Integrate, plan, initiate, direct, coordinate, and review of the Department of the Army social media programs for external and internal audiences. Provide expert advice on public affairs, particularly on social media issues, policies and programs to officials. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short and long-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Synchronize efforts and lead digital strategy planning development across the Total Army digital footprint. Oversee the management and technical expertise to maintain the daily operations of the U.S. Army website.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
