About the Position: Army Veterinary Services' mission is to assure effective execution of full spectrum veterinary services for Department of Defense Veterinary missions.

Duties

Serve as Agreements Manager monitoring and reviewing Army Veterinary Services required written Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) or Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with external government entities. Staff/route agreements for approval to obtain required signatures and maintain control of agreements throughout the approval process. Serve as an alternate timekeeper utilizing an automated timekeeping systems such as ATAAPS. Review correspondence such as letters, notes, postcards, etc. for compliance with established regulations, policies, grammar and format. Determine the appropriate offices for dissemination of correspondence for action.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • You may be expected to travel 5% of the time for this position.
  • This position is a Term appointment. Not-to-Exceed (NTE) 5 years
  • One-year trial period may be required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Monitoring and reviewing Army Veterinary Services written Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) and Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) with external military or other government agencies; 2) Utilizing an automated time and attendance system as an alternate timekeeper; and 3) Performing a wide array of administrative duties utilizing various office equipment and automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business or Office Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer SkillsOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Applicant is responsible for providing all applicable SF 50s for verification of time in grade and career status, the resume is NOT an official document and therefore will not be used when determining time in grade or career/tenure status..
