This position is located in the Kluge Center, Researcher and Collections Services. The position description number for this position is 454405. The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. The incumbent of this position will work a flextime work schedule. This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position. Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.

Duties

Working with the Director and program managers on assigned programs and projects, the incumbent assists in the management and implementation of the educational outreach initiatives of the Kluge Center, including events, scholarly workshops, conferences, and other meetings, both public and private, in order to help to meet the educational mission of the Kluge Center to the U.S. Congress, the scholarly community, and the public.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to coordinate educational outreach initiatives.** Ability to provide program assessment and oversight.** Ability to perform liaison activities in support of programs and projects.** Ability to communicate in writing to support educational outreach initiatives. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
