You will serve as a Integrated Solid Waste Management Program Supervisor in the Public Works Departement of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will provide technical guidance, direction and oversight of the Commander Navy Region Northwest (CNRNW) / Naval Facilities Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW) Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) program. You will assists in coordinating commercial and non-commercial sources for the sale and/or collection of recycled or reutilized commodities per directives. You will develop,track, monitor, and determine the impacts of metrics and develop recommendations and solutions to meet targets. You will solves problems involving diverse aspects of business applications and environmental protection as they relate to non-hazardous recycling and waste disposal.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .1). Providing technical guidance, and direction of the integrated solid waste program; 2) Proposing solid waste and recycling program policy consistent with statutes and regulations; 3) Preparing portions of plans and budget and track execution of resources; 4) Liaising with other Government and commercial enties in the solid waste and environmental communities; and 5) Coordinating commercial and non-commercial sources for the sale and/or collection of recycled or reutilized commodities.
