Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist within the FAA, Western Service Area Technical Operations, Logistics Program at the District level.

Duties

F-Band: Performs basic but progressively more difficult assignments under the close direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Coordinates with a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional to plan time and use assigned resources to accomplish tasks. Work is reviewed regularly during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and all aspects of quality.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-F, you must have 3 three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least FV-E, FG/GS-4 level OR Education Substitution(s). General experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively.To qualify for this position at the FV-G, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level/grade of FV-F, FG/GS-5-9 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is:Experience in serving as a Contracting Officer Representative, providing logistical support as a Contracting Officer Representative for projects or contractsCreating scopes of work for contracts, knowledge of acquisition regulations and procedures for purchase requests, selecting and identifying vendorsAbility to recognize solutions, plan and organize work, and communicate effectivelyQualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history. Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university OR Combination of education and experience.
