This position is in Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP), Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP), Antimicrobials Division (AD), Regulatory Management Branch 1 (RMB1). About Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention: OCSPP This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following: 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level defined as collecting and reviewing technical information related to pesticides; Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position equivalent combination of education and experience Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of environmental regulations and directives related pesticides. Ability to analyze policy related to environmental protection. Knowledge environmental protection program work. Skill in written communication. Ability to apply pesticide registration practices. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team. Skill in oral communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
