You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Integrated Combat Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.

Duties

You will lead and participate in the efforts necessary to design, develop, integrate, implement, test and field the Track Management system. You will conduct independent verification and validation testing and analysis activities for various Track Management programs. You will document work including technical reports, presentations, testing, and specification change requests. You will participate in the application of problem solving and analysis skills to evaluate Command and Control Systems software issues in the Track Management mission area.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer overseeing the creation and deployment of a track management system to conduct testing and analysis, document processes, and address software issues in command and control systems for a track management mission area.
