You will serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist in the Corporate Operations Group, Total Force Strategy and Management Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. GS-09: $68,297 - $88,786, GS-11: $82,633 - $107,421

Duties

You will assist in with counseling employees and applicants for employment who perceive discrimination in job related matters. You will assist in conducting fact-finding into allegations of discrimination. You will assist in the identifying systematic and/or other personnel-related problems. You will assist in developing, coordinating, reviewing and evaluating programs for members of the protected groups. You will assist in monitoring progress in achieving the goals and objectives of the plan and evaluate the results. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serve as the Special Emphasis Program (SEP) Manager and Affirmative Employment Program Manager for FRCSW, monitoring the SEP of subordinate activities and providing advice and guidance for program improvement; 2) Conduct program analysis pertaining to the current status of all affirmative employment program (AEP) elements within the Command; 3) Review and analyze pertinent data to identify potential problems and problems in such areas as: recruitment, appointments, promotions, training and development, employment status, recognition, and upward mobility; 4) Identify barriers to equal employment opportunity for minorities, women, and persons with disabilities and recommend changes in policies and practices; 5) Advise management officials at all levels on matters concerning employment practices and policies that affect employment opportunities for minorities, women, and persons with disabilities.
