This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of planning the logistics of high-profile events; communication and training efforts; monitoring the flow of major projects; and aggregating data and analyzing processes. Duties

Coordinates and plans logistics of in-person training conferences, Advisory Committee meetings, and other high-profile events initiated by the Branch. Provides substantial support and assistance to the Branch in development and implementation of communication and training programs and initiatives. Participates in major project efforts in support of the Branch. Establishes and maintains various tracking systems. Monitors and evaluates the progress of projects with competing timelines and tracks completion of milestones. Contributes to the development of complex written documents for the Branch including PowerPoint presentations used in the production of technical assistance videos as well as industry and staff webinars, templates for use by Division staff, and spreadsheets. Coordinates and plans logistics for industry and Division-wide webinars and teleconferences, including: drafting event announcements; arranging technical support; and overseeing the transcript/captioning process.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as assisting with the management of logistics for public events to include operating event-management platforms, maintaining SharePoint sites, and assisting with the execution of communication or training initiatives including virtual and in-person training events, post-event surveys, and event registration. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
