About the Position: Serve as the principal law enforcement advisor. Provide advice and recommendations on concepts, policies and data systems required to support the law enforcement mission. Moving expenses and/or recruitment/relocation incentives MAY be authorized for this position.

Duties

As the Law Enforcement Specialist, you will perform duties to include but not limited to the following: Provide support for the law enforcement mission, to include crime reporting, DA standards, and IMCOM implementation and operations requirements. Monitor law enforcement information management regarding police operations and communications interface. Recommend modification or development of programs in support of law enforcement reporting missions. Evaluate threat information to identify indicators of terrorist threat conditions.

Requirements

  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station may be required.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsComplianceDecision MakingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
