You will serve as the Insider Threat Program Manager and Command Investigator in the Security Division, Coporate Operations Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

You will serve as the Insider Threat Program Manager and Command Investigator. You will lead and manage the coordination of the command’s Insider Threat Program. You will perform evaluations, surveys, special studies, compliance and systematic investigations responsible for all matters regarding the eligibility of personnel to access classified information and their assignment to sensitive duties. You will maintain liaison with other key law enforcement and investigative personnel in other departments and agencies. You will interface and coordinate with the Security Director and command leadership and advise on Department of Defense, Department of Navy, and higher policies and procedures. You will collaborate with the command’s Special Security Officer (SSO) on personnel security matters in the areas of security violations and Insider Threat. You will establish procedures to access, gather, integrate, and provide for reporting of relevant and credible information across the Command. You will serve as the Insider Threat Assessable Unit Manager for the Integrated Risk Management Program.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting evaluations and investigations of personnel security matters to ensure compliance with security regulations, directives, or guidelines.
