About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate of Public Works, Business Operations & Integration Division, Engineer Systems Branch, Information Technology at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington.

Duties

Perform project scoping, development, implementation of Engineering systems, and IT projects. Analyze current Public Works activities and lead efforts either to improve methods of operation or to effect termination. Serve as program manager for Directorate’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Identify the organizational needs for centralized data relating to real property assets, condition of assets, asset/facility work scheduled, and work accomplished. Hold and execute the duties of directorate Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) for Information Assurance Management (IAM).

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Assist in the implementation of communication systems, programs, and software along with the project development of Engineering systems or IT projects. Recommend equipment, software, data, or services that support an organization's operations for new systems or repairing currents systems. Perform duties to provide information security for the Engineering Information programs and systems. Research and enter information to write programs and standards to meet the automated controls requirements. Provide technical assistance for hardware/software users within the organization.
