Duties

As a Training Instructor, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Teaching/Facilitating graduate level executive, management, and supervisory courses, utilizing both formal classroom and virtual technology methods. Providing guidance and assistance to personnel on a variety of executive, management, and supervisory educational, training, and instructional issues and activities. Serving as technical expert and providing guidance in broad and complex subject areas that are dynamic in nature. Administering and scoring criterion tests, examinations, and surveys.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: For GS-13: Must possess the following: Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Providing advanced adult level education instruction based on curricula using textbooks, manuals, and other reference materials in forums such as classroom setting and/or virtual environments, etc. Organizing materials for effective presentation to motivate executives, managers, supervisors, and non-supervisors, and reinforce learning. Designing and or modifying course programs and materials based on course objectives, teaching materials or instructional aids. Basic Requirements Training Instruction Series 1712 Education:Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. Or Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Quality Ranking Factor(s): Quality ranking factors are knowledge, skills, or abilities that are highly desired by the hiring manager, though not required. Applicants who possess the quality ranking factors can be ranked above those who do not. Relevant quality ranking factor experience must be well documented in your resume. This position contains the following quality ranking factor(s): Experience utilizing, managing, and operating studio production software to virtually instruct adult level classes.
