About the Position: Serves as the Workforce Management Specialist and staff advisor to the Garrison Director of Human Resources (DHR) on matters relating to civilian and military workforce management. Relocation Incentive may be authorized. Recruitment Incentive may be authorized. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Duties

Ensure development of organizational workforce requirements. Direct studies relating to such factors such as turnover, mission and technology to identify workforce dynamics, trends and anticipated changes that may impact the workforce in order to develop short- and long-range workforce requirements. Collaborate with Garrison management officials and staff members to gather and analyze data needed to develop the IMCOM Strategic Human Capital Plan (SHCP). Act as liaison with the servicing CPAC to assist management in the effective implementation of workforce development programs and initiatives. Keep abreast of and advise the Director of Human Resources, Deputy Garrison Commander, key managers, and staff of changes affecting functional areas. Coordinates and leads the Garrison’s New Employee Orientation Program.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Political Science, Liberal Arts & General Studies, Communications, International Studies, Psychology, Business, Public Relations, Public Affairs. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
