Duties

Plans for and effectively uses resources allocated to installation ACS programs and services. Prepares and controls the operating budget, coordinating with branch managers to develop detailed estimated budget requirement. Maintains a variety of fiscal data and service statistics for planning purposes. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and establish schedules for work completion. Provides referrals for specialized follow up care. Serves as command or ACS representative on a variety of family and soldier activity councils and boards. Maintains liaison with civilian and military related social and human services organizations. Serves as a Unit Service Coordinator (USC) providing services to designated military units. Supervises employees assigned to ACS. Identify training and developmental needs of employees, providing or arranging for required training.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement above, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) serving as community service representative on family activity committees, such as councils and boards; 2) maintaining liaison with civilian and/or military related social and human services; 3) developing standard operating procedures outlining program services and delivery models. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial ManagementInterpersonal SkillsManaging Human ResourcesPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
