About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the IMCOM Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Duties

Assists in program management for one or more security programs defined by the AR 380-series regulations. Interprets higher-level guidance and promulgates implementing directives and guidance to the installations/activities. Provides definitive technical advice and assistance to commanders, directors, and other senior authorities regarding establishment of a comprehensive security program. Evaluates security program resources within the command and initiates programming, budgeting and manpower actions to address requirements. Provides program oversight in direct support to all of IMCOM installations/activities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Position requires occasional TDY.
• This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
