You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the MATERIAL READINESS DEPARTMENT of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in Port Hueneme, CA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12.

Duties

You will lead the execution of assigned functions and taskings; serving as a technical and operational point of contact for material management officials and NSLC managers regarding the delivery of products and services. You will provide technical guidance in the application of supply management policies and operational guidance regarding methods, procedures. You will monitor changes in customer requirements, technological and operational developments, and logistics support delivery systems to conceptualize and test new approaches and tools. You will enforce material management policies to ensure the warehouses are compliant with Navy's Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness. You will coordinate efforts with NSLC managers and supply management program officials and customers to organize unit's work.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalency) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing operating materials and supply program data to identify and promote improvements for functional operation of a warehouse. Education

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the NT-04:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
