Duties

This position serves as Social Worker - Project Safe Childhood (PSC) Wellness Program Manager on the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Staff of the Human Resources Directorate, of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA). Duties include: -Serve as an expert staff advisor on vicarious trauma as it relates to investigating and prosecuting Project Safe Childhood (PSC) cases and simultaneously carry out responsibilities of an EAP Social Worker. -Plan, develop, manage, and execute major PSC program initiatives and provides oversight of all PSC program activities. -Provide expert technical advice and guidance to employees in the implementation of PSC Wellness Program. -Serve as a senior level subject matter expert on the dynamics of vicarious trauma, treatment and prevention modalities, and psycho educational approaches to assist individuals and families. -Deal with significant and complex issues to respond to the needs of employees and their families by increasing connections with available services. -Deliver presentations and provide training to employees on DOJ policies, programs, and services available. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Requirements

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a degree in social work that fulfills all of the requirements for the Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education; AND must have satisfactorily completed a related practicum. (NOTE: Applicants MUST submit an official or unofficial transcript. Failure to provide the required documents will render you not eligible for consideration.) Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. (Note: You MUST submit copies of your licenses or certifications with your resume. Failure to provide required documents will render you not eligible for consideration.) Specialized Experience GS-14: Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in federal service advising on matters related to a federal Employee Assistance Program (EAP); implementing federal EAP policies and procedures; and providing case management of EAP clients directly or referring to appropriate services outside the EAP. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
