About the Position: This position is located at the USA Trans Corps Regiment & School, 58 Transportation Battalion on Fort Leonard Wood. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and St. Louis is a 2hr. drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood

Duties

Coordinate, supervises, and evaluates the activities involved in the development, writing, and implementation of motor vehicle operator training and related publications for one Military Occupation Specialty course (88M). Plan the work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Direct, coordinates, and oversees work through one civilian and three military supervisors. Implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve business practices. Review for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established policies correspondence, instructional materials, Programs of Instruction (POI), doctrinal products, and other material requiring concurrence or approval. Serve as briefer or assigns personnel to brief and conduct tours to visitors and guests at all levels. Ensure personnel assigned to either course comply with all safety regulations and standards. Establish workload and assignment for 150 instructors drawn from Regular Army, Army Reserve, GS civilian hire and contract sources. Assign eight subject matter experts (SME) in the development of electronic courseware, training support packages, training aids, audio/visual presentations, and lesson plans. Coordinate detailed review of other Army doctrine to include review of organizational and operational plans from the combat development community as they relate to motor transport operations. Provide budget input and gathers information relative to personnel, salary, and benefits, travel and recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions. Review training literature and products developed by CASCOM SM Es for correctness prior to submission to Transportation School for approval. Supervises quality assurance control procedures for the Military Occupational Specialty course 811-88M10. Serve as internal and external liaison for the 58th Transportation Battalion with Transportation School, CASCOM, USAG FLW, and MSCoE.
