About the position: This position will be assigned to the Resource Management Office.

Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the 82 Force Support Squadron (FSS) Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Accounting Office, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops, Implements, and Executes the NAF accounting and financial services operations. Accountable for the operation of the NAF accounting system. Responsible for ensuring that payroll subsidiary are reconciled monthly. Revises, adapts, or modifies accounting processes to meet local management requirements. Monitors the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and subsidiary fund, expense, accounts receivable, related accounts maintained in all areas of the NAF Accounting Branch. Conducts analyses, reviews, and special studies of financial management and/or related information for assigned programs/organizations. Maintains, audits, and reconciles the general and subsidiary ledger accounts. Oversee the process of NAF Travel Orders and the NAF Purchase Cards. Responsible for the receipt, safekeeping, deposit, disbursement and accountability of all activities funds, including daily and monthly financial recordkeeping requirements. Performs surveillance over daily 1876s, and vendor's disbursements. Assigns and rates employees. Interviews candidates for subordinate positions; recommends, hiring, promotion or reassignments; takes disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, identifies developmental and training needs of employees, and provides and/or arranges for needed development and training. Provides a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Address subordinate's concerns, whether perceived or real, and follows up with appropriated action to correct or eliminate tension in the workplace. Supports the agency's EEO Program. Interprets non-appropriated fund (NAF) finance and accounting policies and procedures outlined by AF and higher headquarters instructions, policies or directives. Qualifying Experience: Must possess three (3) years work experience directly related to the duties required of the position. Thorough knowledge of the concepts, theories, principles and practices of general and cost accounting, taxation, budgeting, and analysis of financial statements; understanding of legal principles that govern financial transactions and their relationships. Experience in supervising people and processes are required. The ability to operate Microsoft Office software to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary to perform the job. Successful completion of National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is condition of employment. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
