About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist providing logistical direction; reviewing and evaluating logistical regulations, policies and procedures. The incumbent will conduct on site staff assistance visits for command logistics inspection program to evaluate the effectiveness of supply management operations.

Duties

Utilize Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) on-line tool for reporting of applicable supply and/or maintenance functions. Analyze problem areas and prepare reports with appropriate recommendations. Review request for changes to Table for Distribution for assigned equipment. Analyze and consolidate reports for submission to higher headquarters and item managers. Conduct studies to develop operational methodology and analyzes the impact on current and projected resources. Make recommendations concerning operations, logistics, and contingency plans.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position may require some TDY travel approximately 15%.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsInventory ManagementProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
