About the Position: Serves as an expert specialist in life-cycle Construction Contract Administration for Construction Division. Applies knowledge of construction contract administration principles, practices and procedures and is often confronted with complex problems which require considerable judgement.

Duties

Key member of the Product Delivery Team providing life-cycle construction contract administration, providing recommendations, advice, guidance, information, and coordination. Interfaces with project delivery team (PDT) and functional groups across the District to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Contract Administration Specialist (CAS) team work products. Coordinates contract modification assignments and work balancing for CAS team members within area of responsibility (AOR) as assigned. Maintains flow and quality of work to assure timely accomplishment of assigned workload, making day-to-day adjustments in accordance with supervisor’s instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
