About the Position: This position is with the Office Chief of Staff Operations, Plans, Legislation and Policy in Alexandria, VA.

Duties

The incumbent takes part in reviewing and planning of policies to address gaps in the policy and issuance governance system. The incumbent serves as a secondary point of contact for all policy shortfall and gap identification processes within the organization. Plans, organizes, and documents DoDEA’s foundational policies, assignment of responsibilities, delegations of authority, and implementing procedures as set forth in the DoDEA Charter and Organization and Functions Manpower documents. Prepares writings based upon input from subject matter experts and primary/secondary sources, often culling information from a number of sources, editing information for clarity and accuracy.

Requirements

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes: Develop and assist with policy changes; Provide technical advice and support to leadership on policy matters; Identifies policy shortfall and gap identification processes within the organization; Prepares writings based upon input from subject matter experts and primary/secondary sources, gathering information from a number of sources and editing this information for clarity and accuracy. GS-11 - Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). GS-12 - Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
