About the Position: Serves as Installation Emergency Management Coordinator (IEMC) for the US Army Garrison - Aberdeen Proving Ground. The IEMC is responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of the Army EM program within Aberdeen Proving Ground, Adelphi Laboratory Center, and Blossom Point.

Duties

Responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of the Army Emergency Managment program within Aberdeen Proving Ground, Adelphi Laboratory Center, and Blossom Point. Oversight of the Installation Emergency Management Working Group. Liaison to the installation EOC should an incident occur in or at the tenant organization’s facilities or building or impacts those facilities or buildings. Develop and maintains an EAP and the concept of operations. Publishes planning and exercise guidance for Stand Alone Facilities Establishes and maintains a Mass Warning and Notification (MWN) capability for SAFs. Develops and maintains the shelter-in-place program. Oversight of current information concerning actual or hypothetical (for exercises) floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, storms, and manmade disasters on appropriate maps and charts in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification within one year of entrance on duty.
• Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work on weekends and holidays and be on call.
