You will serve as a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Manager in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (Code 2300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will plan, organize and direct the complete kitting/waterfront material support effort for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. You will establish methods of operations, plans, organize and direct the accomplishment of division functions related to support of nuclear components and repair parts. You will be responsible for establishing budget requirements for personnel resources, equipment, training, etc. You will maintain training schedules to ensure state of the art qualifications and trade skills for current and future work. You will plan, assign and review the work of the section through the first line supervisors.

Requirements

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing nuclear material procedures, related nuclear material control regulations such as the Corporate Nuclear Material Manual (CNMM) and other material policies. Experience selecting, acquiring, storing, or distributing an organization's resources in the most efficient way possible. Such resources may include materials, equipment, financial resources, inventory, human skills, production resources, or information technology (IT). Experience working with Material Access Technology (MAT), Receipt Inspection Management System (RIMS), Supply Action Module (SAM), Material Requirements (MRQT), Nuclear Job Material Lists (NJML), and Hazardous Substance Management Systems (HSMS), or similar systems. Experience with security regulations relating to the safeguard and handling of classified information and material. Experience Identifying and analyzing problems; weighing relevance and accuracy of information; seeking/generating and evaluating alternative perspectives/solutions; making timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Experience identifying the causes of problems, and choosing courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. Experience anticipating and meeting the needs of both internal and external customers. Experience delivering high-quality products and services and committed to continuous improvement.
